Problem & context
Raw Feeding 101 is one of the largest raw dog-feeding communities on Facebook, with members at every experience level and different feeding philosophies. The common need: a reliable way to know whether a home-prepared diet is actually nutritionally complete — without forcing one ideology on anyone.
My role
Community, email, and product — and a core builder of RawPawIQ, the nutrition app.
Process & approach
- Product: helped build RawPawIQ, driving feature ideas and catching bugs from hands-on use, and built the system that channels member feedback into product improvements. Ran GoHighLevel lifecycle outreach and shaped pricing and offers with the founder.
- Meal plans: learned to formulate canine meal plans to NRC guidelines and designed custom, balanced plans tailored to individual members' dogs.
- Community & email: grew and nurtured an 88K+ member community and ran its email-marketing engine.
Outcome & results
- Helped ship a dog-nutrition app that lets owners build NRC-balanced meals instead of guessing.
- Delivered custom meal plans built to NRC requirements for members' dogs.
- Grew the community to 88K+ members and lifted organic search impressions ~70% in a quarter (137K → 231K).
The hard part wasn't the code — it was translating a divided community's real need (is this diet actually complete?) into a product that helps without taking sides.
